  Cold wind tunnel in the winter soccer season. Any wind seems to drop the temperature relative to other areas in town. Dress in one more later than you think you need,!

  A very nice park to walk around, including participark, but it's more focused on recreation than nature. It's got the pool, tennis courts, horse area, skate park, and the hockey arena. Check out Bowen park farther down Bowen for more nature paths.

  One of the best parks in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada on Vancouver Island. The kids love the playground and all the amenities of an arena, pool, exhibition grounds and community Hall all wrapped up in one. I am sure I forgot something like an exercise hiking trail or bike track. Always something to do here for the young at heart.

  Clear cut past miners rigs the land. Nice waterfall on a vertical scale neato...but other than that pretty run down place. Watch out for needles and stoners playing frisbee

  Fantastic walking paths in a heavy forest. Zigzag back and forth for miles of waking or jogging fun, in the middle of the city. Well groomed and maintained.
