  I just moved to Cedar and went into the local Friesen Rental to purchase a 5 gallon bucket of paint. I previously purchased in Parksville and was given a better price. I asked the owner if he would match the price I was given up in Parksville and he went off!

  Great local hardware rental business in the Cedar community. Owned and opporated by local family! Great service, clean and organized with a Canada Post Office onsite! Can't go wrong! Why drive to a big conglomerate to save a dollar or two? Shop local and keep the money in our own community!

  Great little Rental and Hardware store, everything you need is here.. And If they don't have it then they offer to order it for you. They also have the post office in the back which is also quite convenient.

  He started swearing and yelling at me in a store full of customers. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. As a result I will never step foot in that store again! And I went to General Paint to purchase the rest of my paint!

  Thus far we have been hard pressed to find anything we've needed that this little hardware store hasn't had. They've done a great job in stocking their shelves and rental department with a wide variety of things. Its great to not have to go into town to rent a piece of equipment you need to fix your car, or to pick up one more 6' 2x4 to finish your deck. Granted, you aren't always going to find rock bottom prices, but I don't think they are trying to under cut Home Depot, they are trying to provide cedar with everything you need right here when you need it. And for that they do a great job!!! Thanks Friesens!
