  and knew his products well. Lady working the checkout was polite. Other staff seemed disinterested in greeting customers or offering assistance. Disappointing experience aside from the footwear purchase.

  Called their line on January 1st, was greeted with a message saying the "holiday hours" are "9 to 9" so we drove in. Store was closed. In our 2 minutes there two other people pulled up and said the same thing. They had called in and the messages said 9 to 9. One gentleman had come from out of town. Way to go Cabela's Nanaimo, I understand employees needing a holiday off, but please let people know. You cost people their afternoon and fuel costs to drive in from out of town. Pretty rude to say you're open and then not be.

  This is the only place in BC I buy Archery equipment. The merchandise is good quality, varied, and well stocked. If you don't know what you're looking for you could get lost for hours in there.

  This was a fun place for the family to streach their legs on a long road trip. The kids were entertained by all of the fish and animals. We enjoyed a quick lunch of uncommon and common meats in their food court. They seamed to sell EVERYTHING for the outdoorsman and beyond. It was a fun stop along the way.

  I went there to browse firearms, and ask about selling mine. The guy was a wealth of information and made some recommendations that I hadn't considered. Didn't buy anything one, but my better half spent $20 on fudge. Now I'm worried I have the diabetes. If I don't, I'll go back and try again! Kudos to the fudge girl for the Snickers recommendation.

  I live an hour away so I called ahead for my Bow. It's a big place, but I barely got to the Archery section before I was greeted by an Employee, directed to what I wanted and shown to the checkout.
