Though we enjoyed everything about the park, the best part of our stay was the fantastic staff. As other reviews have stated they will go out of their way to make you feel as welcome as possible, and to help you if you need it. Someone always has a smile on their face and everyone is awesome to talk to! They allow you your privacy while still making sure the campsite remains safe and friendly.

The facilities are very well kept. There is a place to do your laundry and the showers are free (any longterm campers know how hard that is to come by). The bathrooms/showers themselves were always clean and the water was hot. The office has a little shop with all the necessities and even a little arcade.

What an Amazing RV park. I’ve been recerting for my level 3 but could get no quiet in town. This RV park was just what the Medic needed! I was made to feel welcome from moment one. The food in the store Amazing!!! RV accessories Yes that 2. I needed a hose. Propane bottles. It’s everything you need and worth the drive. It’s an All inclusive RV camp ground. I’’ll stay here again for sure.

Tucked away off the beaten path, the campsite is still only a short jaunt to Nanaimo and other surrounding areas. This means that we could enjoy a quiet night gazing at the stars (which are stunning from there), without needing to drive very far to get the things we needed. The sites themselves are spacious and well kept, and the neighbours were courteous and quiet. There is a gorgeous walk down to the river right in the campsite, which was perfect for a short walk with our little dogs.

My husband and I stayed at Mountainaire for around 3 months over the winter, and if we hadn't had to leave the island we would have stayed longer!
