This is a really nice place to walk, but I just want to warn newcomers; There is a place where Hemer Park ends but a trail, the Morden Colliery trail, continues...for many kilometers! And it's easy to miss as there is no sign on the park side saying the park ends. Only a sign on the other side saying Hemer Park begins. Just so you know. ;)

As a visitor for the winter I love this park. A five minute walk on Tiesu Road and I am there. The trails are well kept, garbage free and offer a variety of exercise. I have only one complaint and that is those people who do not leash their dogs and there are many. My dog is nervous of other dogs as she has been attacked. We love our pets but things can happen we never expect. So please enjoy your walk and leash your pet.

This is a great walk for everyone able to walk 5 km. It is mostly flat, but roots and rocks are on the path so if you aren't steady on your feet it's not for you. When the weather is bad the trail gets muddy so proper foot wear is recommended. I do not walk this park alone as I was ambushed by some teens while jogging with dogs in the park and there is no quick exit for help. If you enjoy a nice walk and have a partner and are well prepared. Nice distance for walking your dog but not an off leash park!

Very nice park in typical BC forest setting with an easy walk of about one hour in well maintained trails

Great trails. A pond on one side and a lake on the other. Great place to enjoy being outside at.
