  Exceptional pet friendly property with inner grassy courtyard with bench, doggy bags and disposal bin. Friendly staff, upscale breakfast room with quality and variety food items. Clean comfortable and spacious guest rooms. This hotel sets the bar high for all Best Western hotels. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. A must whether travelling with pets or not.

  Hotel has been completely redone. Really clean and a friendly staff. Had a mix up with my jacket and manager went out of her way to sort it out. Will stay here again and recommend it to my friends.

  The staff at this hotel is wonderful! The room and the whole hotel was very clean, and I am very picky. They have a wonderful breakfast room with great choices, you do not leave hungry! The only problem I found was with the noise from the highway next to the hotel. We were assured by the front desk staff that the noise would be significantly reduced as evening approached and it was! We had no trouble watching TV or sleeping.

  I would highly recommend staying at this facility! The rooms are super, clean and nicely decorated, for sure value for you money. The gals at front reception checking us in and out were so personal, they truly cared about what brought us to Nanaimo and were so personal, excellent in their conversation with us. And the gal, Florence, in the kitchen for breakfast, was the same, she was so friendly, awesome personality, made sure we all had a good breakfast, the food was very good, she made sure we felt comfortable, I wanted to bring her home with us. We will stay at this location again for sure!!!!

  Best Western Northgate is a clean, modern facility close to all major amenities. Shopping and restaurants are close by. The staff is helpful and courteous. Breakfast has a good variety. I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Nanaimo area.
