  Emily Bird gives by far the best and most thorough pedicure! I actually don't like pedicures because I'm too picky and ALWAYS go home and fix them myself. Her work was perfect. She focused on my caring for my foot, cuticles, nail shaping and then polish. Also, she's a lovely too. Thanks Emily! This is the first time I can say that I'll be back!

  The spa was fabulous as well, quaint and nestled in the heart of the Historic Maffeo house, smells of lavender and smiles a glow a sensitive touch of the toes, brows and nails; it was the best for sure.

  I am originally from Arizona, having moved to Nanaimo in 2014 I'd gone to many different stylists, none of which was able to cut my hair and make me actually feel good with the results. Leslie, a Master stylist did just that, she made me feel special and relaxed; she then created a masterpiece out of my hair.

  nope... took forevvvvvver for my hair to take the colour, however, the colour looks not bad, but there's no dimension...it's flat. However, the haircut, i had to cut the right side front to match the left side, I can't cut behind my ears, but the left side is about a 1/2 inch longer the right. And no, i won't go back to get it fixed, I won't go back again....

  I see that there are a ton of great reviews, and maybe it was an off day...but you'd think that someone with 30 years experience cutting hair would check that the lengths are even.... really disappointing.

  Emily is an eyebrow god! She is the best. I am always greeted by friendly staff and I love their waiting room! Thanks for being awesome Maffeo!

  This was my second visit in to this special salon and I can't tell you how happy I am. Brian was my stylist both times and I have never ever ever had such a fantastic short haircut! He takes the time to perfect the details in the cut and I left both times just thrilled with how cute the cut was! My hair is super thick and super poker straight with a tough hairline to cut and he nailed it ALL -taming my crazy hair! Brian also is such a pleasure to chat with and is so approachable! I can't wait for my next cut/color! Check out this salon...you won't be disappointed!!!
