  One of the managers tried to swoop in and woo us but he didn't seem to care about our questions and concerns either. Once he knew we knew what we needed to ask before committing to ANY vehicle, as far as safety and repairs, he tried to brush off multiple issues. Probably because we weren't buying a NEW car but we had important questions that needed answers. I think he may have forgotten that customers make a business successful.

  I just bought a 2014 Forester XT from Levi Lamash on the weekend. While the Forester, with all of it's amazing features, sells itself, my past car dealership encounters have not been quite so stellar. So it was an unexpected surprise to find Levi, who was pleasant, super helpful, professional and has now positively re-framed my past views of the whole car buying experience. Levi went above and beyond to make the process simple and in fact so did his colleague, Ken, who fit me into his schedule on my timeline. Thanks to Levi, Ken & the Nanaimo Subaru team, great job!

  His name is Richard Charley. And he is the man who was helping me in making this transaction as easy and transparent as posisble that made our experience so unforgettable. He went above and beyond for us and I am sure we will meet again next time ;) We were coming on foot from Vancouver via ferry, to the Duke Point terminal, where Richard was waiting for us. Then, he took us to a dealership. After completing paperwork, our vehicle was ready for us, detailed, plated, fueled up and ready to go back to Vancouver!

  We had excellent customer service from one of the Sales guys at Subaru. Richard gave us wonderful service with a smile and made our transition to a new-to-us vehicle, after our old one was in an accident and written off, an easy one. If we could have just dealt with him alone we would have had a 5 star experience. If you're looking for a new car, talk to Richard. He's great!

  Our salesman, Levi, was very courteous and professional, and gave us all the "ins and outs" of the vehicles that we were considering. He was knowledgeable about the vehicles, and any questions that he couldn't answer for us, he found out about, and relayed the information.

  So disappointed in Subaru of Nanaimo. Woke up this morning at 3:30 AM and caught the first ferry to Nanaimo to view one of their vehicles on the lot. I had been in contact with one of their sales reps last week and asked them specifically to advise me if the car sells between then and now. I arrived this morning to discover that they accepted a down payment on it, but failed to let me know. I essentially got a 'sorry about that' and a shoulder shrug. I'm out travel expenses from the mainland and more importantly precious time. One day off from work this week and this is how i spent it. Thanks a lot, great customer service! Never again.
