  Since re-opening, the food here has HUGELY improved over the previous ownership. This pub has a great atmosphere and one of the most interesting bar counters in the area. Some of the service staff can be kind of aloof - so service is not always the best. Thankfully, they have put in a cell phone booster so now you have full access to cell service (this is in a well known Nanaimo dark zone for cell service).

  Great food, and service. Beer and wine store next door. There is also outdoor seating at tables with umbrellas. This is the only liquor licensed establishment in the area. The portions are appropriate and it is not going to break the bank.

  Large, open concept main pubhouse, they even have a liquor store only meters away, parking is abundant.

  We have visited 10 times and the food was great all but once. Write that off to a bad day, or cook. That was a few months ago and it has been great since.

  Portions are huge, maybe too huge. Service has gotten better every time.
